英会話力向上を目指して
日々いろいろ考察中。
今回は英訳文を解いてみます。

The faces were purple with the strain of yelling; the voices sounded blank and cracked like a mechanical imitation of old people's voices; and suddenly ceased when we turned into a lane.
I saw them many times in my wandering about the country. They lived on that road, drifting along its length here and there, according to the inexplicable impulses of their monstrous darkness.

以下、日本語訳文―。

顔は叫ぶ負荷で紫でした;
声は、ブランクで、高齢者の声の機械的な模倣のように割られたように思えました;
そして、急に、私たちがレーンへ乗り入れた時、止められました。

英語力を高める勉強

We saw the other two: a boy and a girl, as the driver said. They were dressed exactly alike, in shapeless garments with petticoat-like skirts. The imperfect thing that lived within them moved those beings to howl at us from the top of the bank, where they sprawled amongst the tough stalks of furze.

私たちは他の2つを見ました:
少年および少女、ドライバーが言ったとして。
それらは、ペチコートのようなスカートを備えた定形がない衣服の中で、似ていて、正確に服を着られました。
